In the 1508, Father's day was celebrated in Catholic Europe on March 19 to commemorate the feast day of Saint Joseph, who was also known as the fatherly Nutritor Domini ("Nourisher of the Lord"). While it isn’t celebrated world over, it has a very unique history to it. It is a day to remember the love, support and care a dad gives to his child. Today – the third Sunday of the month of June – is celebrated across the world as Father’s Day. Todays GoogleDoodle uses real time-lapse imagery from Google Earth and other sources to show the effect of climate change around the world goo. It is a touching tribute to the special bond a father shares with a child, and the texture of the paintings that make up the GIF look sketch-like.
